Local Courts

Chris appears daily in Local Courts in Maitland, Newcastle and the Hunter Valley, including courts at Cessnock, Raymond Terrace, Toronto and Belmont as well as the major centres at Newcastle and Maitland.

Chris appears in a variety of criminal law matters including:-

• Assaults and other allegations of violence
• Drug related matters
• Theft and other property offences
• Domestic violence matters
• Break, Enter matters
• Apprehended Violence Order applications

District Court

Chris regularly appears in the District Court in appeals from the Local Court.

You can appeal any criminal law matter that has been heard in a Local Court to the District Court either as an appeal against conviction or as an appeal against the severity of the sentence.

Chris has wide ranging experience in conducting District Court appeals and can provide you with straightforward advice about your appeal as well as bringing to bear first class representation and advocacy on your behalf.

Chris also undertakes trial and sentence cases in the District Court, where he has significant experience in conducting a wide range of District Court cases.
